Audio converter free, in your browser
Turn a browser-readable recording into WAV or MP3. Conversion changes the file format; it cannot restore detail that an earlier export removed.
Processing runs on your device. Up to 200 MB and 60 minutes. Format support depends on your browser.
Pick a format for the next step
Choose WAV for an editing copy and MP3 for a smaller file to share. The converter exports all decoded audio; it applies no repair, normalization or noise reduction. WAV output is 16-bit PCM and MP3 is 192 kbps. It is not a FLAC, AAC or video encoder.
WAV, MP3, M4A and MP4 are common inputs, but successful decoding depends on the browser and codec inside the file. A video input produces an audio-only download. Browser decoding can resample to the device's audio rate, so this tool does not promise to preserve the original sample rate, tags or artwork.
Converting an MP3 to WAV does not recover the sounds removed during MP3 compression. It gives you a decoded editing copy. Exporting MP3 again adds a new lossy encoding stage. If you have the original WAV, start there and make the small delivery file once at the end.
Questions
Can I convert M4A to MP3?
Yes, when your browser can decode the M4A codec. Choose the file, select MP3, and download a separate 192 kbps file.
Will MP3 to WAV improve the quality?
No. The WAV contains the decoded MP3 audio. It cannot restore detail that was discarded when the MP3 was made.
Are tags and artwork copied?
No. This converter exports decoded audio, not file metadata, chapters or artwork.
Can it export multichannel MP3?
No. MP3 output is limited to mono or stereo. WAV keeps all decoded channels, and the tool will not silently discard extra channels to make an MP3.
